Dr. Valerie H. Myers, Ph.D.

Dr. Valerie Myers is a licensed psychologist and research scientist. Her research focuses on utilizing technological approaches to deliver efficacious weight management, diabetes, and physical activity interventions across the lifespan. Dr. Myers has been a Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, and Lead Behavioral Scientist on multiple NIH- and state-funded trials. Her clinical expertise is in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing for mood and anxiety disorders and chronic disease stressors. Dr. Myers is active in multiple professional organizations, is an author or co-author of several published peer-reviewed articles, and has been a speaker at numerous professional conferences.

Dr, Myers brings a unique talent to the Genetix team by assisting in the often complicated web of psychological challenges facing those tackling weight management. Her knowledge is exceptional and her approach facilitates positive reinforcement with sustainable results.
